Had 3 male cowbirds here yesterday. They usually show up right around March
20, if not on March 20, which is why I consider them my sign that spring has
sprung! I find the males to be quite attractive, even though they are brown
and black, not exactly bright colors one would expect to be pretty.
The turkeys in this area are really calling a lot--even heard a bunch of
females yesterday morning! From a distance, especially, they sound like Wood
Frogs!
Only one Louisiana Waterthrush singing so far (I usually hear at least three in
various areas once they have all arrived).
My Carolina Wrens have completed their nest in my carport.
