I saw my first Purple Martin and Louisiana Waterthrush of the year at the Front
Royal Fish Hatchery this morning. The Purple Martin was actually at a martin
house in a yard just up the road from the hatchery. There was also a huge
flock of sparrows at the hatchery; there were at least 40 Juncos, 10 Song, 2
Field, 2 Chipping, and 2 Swamp Sparrows. Back at school I saw an Eastern Comma
and Falcate Orangetip, I think it's safe to say spring has arrived!
