I stopped by Staunton River State Park this afternoon hoping for some early
arriving ducks, but none were to be found. Being the middle of the
afternoon, there wasn't a lot of songbird activity, but I did manage to find
a Hermit Thrush and a Red-Headed Woodpecker, but the highlight was 2
juvenile Bald Eagles and an adult Northern Harrier. Also saw 2 small flocks
of peeps, but they never got close enough for me to even attempt an id.
