Hi All,
Yesterday, the 18th, some interesting birds came through here on Compton Mt. A
Tennessee Warbler was the most unexpected, though this is by no means the late
date for that species here in the area. The latest date we have is November 1.
A female Ruby-throated Hummingbird was still here yesterday in spite of the
temperature being 41 F. After the freezing temperature of 31 F and frost this
morning she was nowhere to be found. I hope she moved on south and didn't
succumb to the cold. We also had another White-crowned Sparrow yesterday, one
White-throated Sparrow, a Brown Thrasher and 3 Common Ravens.
Today I saw my first of the season Hermit Thrush, a Gray Catbird, a couple of
Red-shouldered Hawks a Brown Thrasher, and 6 Yellow-rumped Warblers.
