Although this free App is for Texas, I though some of you might be
interested in downloading it if you are interested in Texas birds or
planning a trip to the big state of Texas.
It is free, there is all the same app for Hawaii for $4.99.

I'm please to announce that new TOS app, Birdseye Texas is now available in
the Apple App Store. The best part is the price, its FREE. Just search the
app store for Birdseye Texas
This is special version of the app, Birdseye for Texas. It covers all the
birds on the current check list for Texas (Including Amazon Kingfisher)
It pulls information on current sightings for ebird. It has photos and
calls, wikipedia articles on the birds, and links to recent photos from
Flickr.com. I really like the Flickr feature, when chasing a bird, you can
actually find the actual bird your chasing.
It will also let you browse nearby hotspots for birds. The hotspot feature
will work anywhere, although it will only show you the Texas birds at that
site.
If you link your eBird account it will show birds nearby you need for your
life list.
The app also links to the TOS website.
This app should work on any iOS device, and at the price who wouldn't want
this app.
If you use an Android device, don't despair, the developer is planning a
Android version, but they don't have a release day yet, but I was assured
they are planning to release an Android version and I'm hopeful TOS will be
able to bring this app also out for Texas.
