Hi all:'
I talked to some of the personnel at Huntley at 11 today on this
matter. They basically said that the park manager had gone out to look
at this bird, and pronounced
it as an D.C. Cormorant
Steve hersey says he saw my cormorant\anhinga earlier in the day. He
also thought it was a cormorant.
He tried to show me the injured white-rumped sandpiper, but for some
reason I could not make it out on the mudflats.
So much for my observational skills these days.
I did not see that cormorant/ anhinga today..
Needless to say, the odds are favoring a D.C. Cormorant.
Sigh.
