[Va-bird] White-rumped Sandpiper - Huntley Meadows, Alexandria

I did a quick walk through Huntley Meadows this morning and found a White-rumped Sandpiper with an injured foot or leg in amongst the Killdeer viewable from the raised platform on the boardwalk loop. It was hobbling around, but feeding actively and flying little bursts here and there.

I tried to get some photos, but the bird was way outside the range of my lens - apologies for the poor quality. Links to two of the photos are:

I looked on eBird - this seems to be quite an uncommon bird for Fairfax County. There only recent records of sightings were in 2002, 2003 and 2007. Of course if I would ever remember to buy the Gold Book I'm sure I'd be able to find additional Fairfax County sightings :)
