After spending a couple of days with friends at their family beach house
near Ft. Story I took the 64th Street entrance to First Landing State Park
to try to find MY first of the season Osprey. Misty rain kept trying to turn
into steady rain as I drove in but even with the windows up I heard Ospreys
& looking up found three in a loud dispute over a big nest in a dead pine.
Traffic into the park was light so I drove the road 3 times ending up with
10 Osprey nests, 5 Osprey, & 5 Great -Blue Heron nests with 3 Herons
standing on nests.
