Hello all,
Sorry for the late posting. I went to MCL Sat. 3-5-11 in Amherst Co. to see if
any of the WW Scoters were still there. I got there just after day
light. I saw one
WW Scoter. Randy and Sue arrived later. They both got to see the Scoter. There
was also a male Common Merganser. He flew back and forth in front of the parking
lot. We also heard a Barred Owl call once. I just got back from taking
my daughter
and her boyfriend's little girl back to their house on Lake Norman in NC. They
live on the lake. Yesterday I counted 15 Common Loons. Today I had a breeding
plumage Common Loon in front of their house. I had 7 RB Mergansers fly by. There
were alot of Bonaparte's Gulls also. Some were just getting their black heads.
