Today I birded along "warbler road," -Forest Road 812 coming down from the
Blue Ridge Pkwy in Botetourt County. I found a field guide along the
road. It's inscribed to Linda and has many notes and papers in it. I
didn't see any other birders around after I found it, and I'm sure the
owner would like it back. If you know whose it is, please have them
contact me and I will mail it to them. Also, if you know of any other
forum where I should post this message, please let me know.
Also, it was my first visit there and it's a really nice spot- I wasn't
there long, but saw many ovenbirds, towhees, a group of scarlet tanagers,
some pine siskins, a few red-eyed vireos, a redstart and a black-throated
blue warbler.
