On April 6 I recieved a call from an estate on the Northern Neck side of
the Rappahannock River just downriver from the 301 bridge about an injured
or ill eagle. It turned out to be a golden eagle, 2nd year bird. I
took it to a rehabilitator in Richmond County, where it soon expired. The
bird was on its last legs from weakness, starvation, and infection due to a
broken humerus bone. I have photos but don't have the means to post them
on a website.
