Some of us will be stationed at this swift roost on Thursday night. We went at
the same time last year and we loved watching the spectacle. Get there soon if
you can.

Subject: [Va-bird] arlington village swift roost, oakton yellow-bellied
sapsucker
A fellow teacher very excitedly told me about a chimney swift roost in her
neighborhood, a townhouse area in Arlington Village. Hundreds every evening.
A huge old brick chimney of a brick building on16 Street South, between Walter
Reed Rd and Barton.
I had a yellow-bellied sapsucker here at FLint Hill Schoool in Oakton (Fairfax
Co) yesterday as well as a Palm Warbler (4 Palms this AM). The red-breasted
nuthatch is also still here.
ALl the best
