We ran the Shenandoah BBS route (Shenandoah NP) today, June 11, 2012. This
route starts at Mile Post 53 and runs right down Skyline Drive, ending a bit
before Loft Mountain Wayside.
This year we added Louisiana Waterthrush to the list. Top bird on this
route was American Redstart followed by Eastern Towhees and Ovenbirds. This
is a good route to find Cerulean Warblers on but the best bird always is the
Least Flycatchers of which 2 made the count and 2 more were heard between
stops.
