For anyone planning to create a habitat for birds, this sale is a great place
to find appropriate plants. It *will* be crowded, but everyone will be in a
festival mood. It's a good idea to bring a large basket, tray, box or wagon to
make carrying your purchases easier--along with lots of money.<g>

Subject: [vnps-pot] Potowmack Plant Sale
Potowmack Chapter Plant Sale
Saturday, May 17th, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Green Spring Gardens
Directions (www.friendsofgreenspring.org)
Saturday is Spring Garden Day at Green Spring, which translates to Major Plant
Buying Day. There will be 50 plant vendors at the park, including the Potowmack
Chapter. We will be selling native plants from our propagation beds, which are
located behind the Horticulture building. We will have a wide selection of
native perennials for sun and shade, ferns and woody plants as well as native
seed packets. Expert gardeners will be available to assist you in selecting the
right plants for your garden. VNPS members receive a discount on our already,
very reasonably priced plants. Plant sale proceeds support the chapter's
educational initiatives. Come out and support your chapter.
