I found a new (to me) location for birding in Centreville (Fairfax County), at
a road-side pullout on the W side of Old Centreville Road. There's a gravel
road leading to the tall communications antenna just SE of the UOSA pond. This
road appears to lie on the Bull Run Regional Park land, and there are no signs
to discourage entry by foot. The road is clear enough to walk it without
picking up ticks.
The habitat there is pretty good, woods and edges, and from the antenna there
are limited views of a portion of the pond not otherwise accessible.
