Hello,
If you are listing in VA this year (which I am not seriously), Chincoteague is
the place to be today for geese. Amid the several thousand Snow Geese flying
around low between the wildlife loop and Swan Cove (being spooked by juvie Bald
Eagles) are a juvenile Greater White-fronted Goose and at least 8 Ross's
Geese, one of which is a blue phase juvenile.
Other birds here include 5 Snow Buntings on the dunes (one close to full
breeding plumage) and some RT Loons. Very little to speak of offshore, and
many of the scoters are far out. Will post again if anything else exceptional
shows up.
