Both the Cackling and Greater White-front were amongst the large Canada Goose
flock this morning. The latter was found roosting on the mud on the river side,
maybe 100m from the bridge. The Cackling Goose was first seen nearer to the
Belle Haven parking lot but was quite active and last seen near to The Stone
Bridge
For those not familiar with Canada Goose variation there are a lot of small and
often dark migrant Canadas present at the moment. The Cackling goose is very
small even compared to these with a stubby little bill and distinctly greyer in
body color - it is very obvious when seen in comparison.
