The wet weather and fog resulted in fewer bird sightings and only two
observers on this morning's walk. The rain had fairly ceased at the start of
the walk and then fog moved in. The highlight was a flock of 100 Cedar
Waxwings attracted to the holly trees off the entrance road. The Mute Swan
which usually inhabits the Riverbend Park section of the Potomac made an
appearance in Great Falls waters just below the dam.. The Bald Eagles were a
no-show. The list of 27 species observed follows.
