Not quite as good as last week, but still lots of warblers, particularly
MAGNOLIAS (14), B&WS, PARULAS, and BTGs. Best birds were single NASHVILLE,
CAPE MAY, and BLACKBURNIAN. REDSTART numbers were down (only 2). Heard my
first YELLOW-RUMPS of the year (assuming my ears aren't failing my after a
few months without hearing any . . . ). Total of 55 warblers identified (at
least a dozen or two got away).
Best non-warblers was a small flock of tanagers (4).
The two escapee waxbills are still alive and well in the Woodcock Meadow.
