Late Sunday afternoon, a warbler appeared in the yard which flashed bold
yellow wing bars, had a yellow face, throat and chest, and a thin dark line
through the eye. I saw it from about 35 feet but it flew away before I could
get
my binoculars. I suspected it was a BREWSTER'S WARBLER and consulted the
Dunn/Garrett Warbler guide which illustrates a first fall, first generation,
male Brewster's which matched my observation. I kept watch both late Sunday
and most of today but never did see it reappear.
Other warblers in the yard the past two days included:

CHESTNUT SIDED 2
RESTART 2
BLACK AND WHITE 1
BLACK-THROATED BLUE 1
An added treat was my first ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK for the fall migration.
