A group of five, led by Sally Weschler, observed 37 species this morning
despite the wet and dark weather during the first two hours of the walk.
Rough-winged Swallows were staging for migration on a large rock in the
Potomac River. Land bird sightings increased as the weather cleared and the
sun
broke out. Oddly, two regular ticks, American Crow and Turkey Vulture,
were not seen or heard this morning. The list follows:
