Our group of eleven tallied 47 species. With the river high, muddy and fast
there were few species on it today.
We did enjoy seeing orioles fly from an island to shore above the falls. There
was one eaglet visible on the nest
with an adult close by. All are welcome to join this walk which meets Sunday
mornings in the visitors center
courtyard. -- Marshall Rawson, McLean VA
