On this overcast morning our group of four spotted 35 species. The bird of
the day was a barred owl perched in the broken off top of an old sycamore
tree between the holding basin and the lock -- just beyond the one section of
split rail fence at the trail convergence. This regular walk meets Sundays
at 8:00 am in the vistor's center courtyard and all are welcome.
