In Marshall's absence, Sally Wechsler lead our group of six as we
encountered drizzle and poor lighting conditions. Many land birds were
feeding on
grapes high in the canope and were studies in grays and browns. The
highlight was observing 8 Glossy Ibis, a first for the Sunday walks as far as
we
know. The heavy rains last night must have stirred the earthworms since
robins were scattered throughout the picnic grassy areas. We also welcomed
back Pied-billed Grebes and Cedar Waxwings after their summer absences.
The e-report follows which will be amended to add a Cooper's Hawk which I
inadvertently omitted.
