Two Red-breasted Nuthatches and a Ruby-crowned kinglet (FOS) were among the
30 bird species I viewed in my yard today. Six warblers species were also
present: Parula, Chestnut-sided (2), Magnolia, Black-and-White (2),
Redstart (2) and Ovenbird. Other visitors included Scarlet Tanager,
Rose-breasted
Grosbeak, Eastern Towhee, and R-T Hummingbird (though the cardinal flower
is no longer blooming).
I had a first fall female Bay-breasted Warbler in the yard yesterday. The
first Red-breasted Nuthatch arrived a week ago.
