Visitors:
Lots of old friends helping out (with distractions). Al Miller arrived
first; Darryl on his bike; David B. with his scope and raven humor; John S.
and wife; Mike with his eagle eyes.
Weather:
Fairly good wind all day from the WNW, NW and W. Hazy in the valley (3),
but clearing above. Clouds started at 20% then to 80% then 40%. Vultures
had trouble getting up, but the reason was not clear.
Raptor Observations:
All birds low, most Ospreys flapping at eye level. First bird of the day
was an Adult BE at 10:14. Harrier and Cooper's going North.
Non-raptor Observations:
Many folks enjoying the parkway, many questions concerning our purpose.
Predictions:
Good NW winds and perchance some hawks.
