Observation start time: 08:30:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 7.5 hours
Official Counter: Bill James
Observers: Carl Christensen
Visitors:
Not many people around for Carl and i to talk to. One very skinny hiker
going North.
Weather:
Good wind out of the North, but cold and overcast with sprinkles
occasionally. Fog blew out, but the haze remained until the last hour.
Raptor Observations:
Not much variety with Redtails dominating the count. I thought I saw a
Golden, but later processing of the films revealed an imm. BE at 3:31.
Still seeking advice. No sharpies!? A nice male harrier looking for
Baron.
Non-raptor Observations:
Three groups of cormorants (over 100) flew through Boblett's Gap on their
way to the coast. 4 Canadas went over the top and one single waterfowl.
Lots of Juncos on the way up and back and Waxwings resting in the trees.
Predictions:
Less wind and birds.
