The "mayor" of Springwood ( by the way he is 85 - unbelievable!)
Weather:
Beautiful day, but could have done without the gnats. Easterly breeze
usually not our best, and on the light side at that, but still had some
good sightings.
Raptor Observations:
Both species of eagles, but no Harrier. Seven species total.
Non-raptor Observations:
Lots of dragonflies, with some Saddleback thrown in, but most were just
milling about. Chimney Swifts were in good numbers, but were also just
milling, not migrating. Our "last bird of the day" was a white pigeon which
circled the parking lot several times, rapidly. Others: Goldfinch,
Chickadee, Downy WP, TV, Towhee, RT, BV, Raven, WB Nuthatch, Gnatcatcher.
