Visitors:
Dave Brunstetter from roanoke was a great help along with Dan & Dawn Dehart
from Bedford. Jewel Hiler of the famous "Jewel delights" was up for a few
hours. Thanks to the visitors & observers for helping spot today.
Parkway goers galore with 783 vehicles counted during the watch with a
guesstimated 1/3 of them came into the parking area & 1/2 of the 783 were
motor cycle's.
Weather:
Finally something besides all blue, a thin layer of clouds covered most of
the sky all watch. SE wind @ 1-2 becoming V @ 1 the last two hrs. Very
tolerable temps & sometimes chilly in the shade.
Raptor Observations:
The hawk of the day was SS with the highlight being a 4th yr BE coming over
giving great looks @ 13:12 followed 10 minutes later by a male NH also
giving great looks.
@ 11:02 the 11,000th hawk flew by, an SS.
13 BE's from tying last years record of 92.
No Falcons,,,what is up with that???
Non-raptor Observations:
54 blue jays, several hundred Monarch's & Buckeyes. Few dragon flies. Stink
bugs & gnats were at a minimum today.

None !!!
