a couple from ontario stopped for awhile and a backpacking family from
wilmington nc.
Weather:
after the rain and clouds, the west wind and the rising clouds made for
very clear if dark skies. by 4, the sun and gnats came out and the wind and
birds dropped.
Raptor Observations:
immature bald eagle @ 1237. adult bald eagle @ 1446.
Non-raptor Observations:
several monarchs and one flight of blue jays. many vultures and ravens and
local redtails.
