Observers:
Visitors:
One fellow from Craig county stopped by to chat.
Weather:
Overcast and rainy this morning, but with some lift in the ceiling, I went
to the watch. Wind was SSE at a 3 with warm (13C) but falling temps,
limited visibility and total cloud cover. There was, for a while, sun in
both valleys for a while. Left with the approach of darker clouds and
absent birds.
Raptor Observations:
Redtails kiting in the substantial winds and flying just below the cloud
line. Ravens were having a big, boisterous, barrel rolling time. Saw at
least seven RTs, a couple of whom met migration criterion.
Non-raptor Observations:
Hardly anyone on the parkway today just one or two cars by the side
indicating hunters.
Predictions:
Some rain tonight and in the morning, then NW winds and sun in the
afternoon.
