Visitors:
No hikers and very few tourist drive-thrus. Irregular visitors and
observers - Keith Peters from WV and Mike Kelly from Lynchburg - good to
see you again!
Weather:
Beautiful day for hawkwatchers - plenty of sun, light breezes, no gnats.
For seeing hawks not so great - no clouds, flighty wind direction, but we
did get to see a bunch early on.
Raptor Observations:
Hardly any Vultures in sight, and only a few fly-bys by Ravens.
Non-raptor Observations:
No dragonflies, one Chimney Swift, seven Monarchs. Others-Blue Jay,
Carolina Wren, Chickadee, Towhee, TV, Flicker, BV,Raven, Pileated WP,
Flicker
Predictions:
Probably better
