Visitors:
Family of four stopped by on their way to Roanoke, I assume, for a
Thanksgiving visit. Young Will was very interested in Raptors. I shared
with him information about HMANA and showed him my copy of the Raptor
Identification Card and how to download. His life list is at 126 and
counting. Good birding Will you'll make a very good HMANA observer one
day.
Weather:
Sunny with clear skies. Full fog cap over Great Valley until noon when fog
cleared. Goose Creek Valley hazy. Visibility 6-10Km but very hazy. Winds
light from the NW. Temperatures from 2C > 5C.
Raptor Observations:
Two TVs is all that graced the skies over Harvey's Knob today or at least
while I was there. This is my last day this season. I want to thank all
those who assisted on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Non-raptor Observations:
Flocks of Juncos, one Cardinal, several Chickedees, one gray squirrel and 7
ravens.
Predictions:
The same but warmer by a few degrees.
