Visitors:
Nice young fellow from Roanoke seemed interested to learn, Ms. Oswald from
Roanoke was by, English folk returned from yesterday.
Weather:
Windy from the WNW and W early, tapering in the PM. When the clouds
disappeared, so did the bird flow, even though the wind continued. Sink?
Cold and colder then not as cold. Blue and yellow.
Raptor Observations:
Sharpies on both sides of the Knob despite the westerly wind direction.
IBE at 10:09, BE at 11:10. Carl accounted for at least half the birds.
Non-raptor Observations:
Big group of hikers in full regalia got to see the adult eagle in full
regalia. Lot of visitors, pretty much traffic, but nothing like tomorrow.
#1 plane returned today with some unusual approaches and some other plane
with no markings.
Predictions:
Windless, but not hopeless.
