Weather:
Blue skies and high pressure, with west winds sustained around 10mph in the
morning, lessening and becoming calm for the last few hours of the count.
Raptor Observations:
Non-raptor Observations:
Four Common Loons, about fourty White Ibis, one Common Nighthawk, about
twenty Cedar Waxwings. Also Nashville, Yellow Palm, Blackpoll,
Black-and-white, Black-throated Blue, Northern Parula, and of course
Yellow-rumped Warblers. One hundred ninteen Monarch Flutter-bys.
Predictions:
North winds predicted for Saturday and northeast for Sunday, should be a
good weekend for hawkwatching at Kiptopeke...
