Official Counter: Bill James
Observers: Baron Gibson, David Kirk, Mike Purdy
Visitors:
Few people got out of their cars. No motorcycles!! Now we know what to
do. FANS!
Weather:
Car rocker, hawk blocker wind. Strong NW winds - one gust of 36.5 MPH by a
courageous Baron hanging over the edge - with high wind warnings for the BR
Parkway. Hawks heeded the warning, apparently. There was a very strong
migration from the Shenandoah Valley to the Goose Creek Valley of colorful
leaves.
Raptor Observations:
I came early, had great help and little results. My wife called from the
valley to say two ABE's were flying over our house. We went home to thaw.
Non-raptor Observations:
This would be called a "Slam" day by Tadcipiter - at least in anticipation.
Since he left us this year and the year has been slow and low, we are
certain he has brewed some fiendish concoction to that end. He's Hexed Us
from Texas.
Predictions:
Something else......
