Observers:
Visitors:
Ann McDowell stopped by for a few hours today.
Weather:
Mostly cloudy today with a nice break of sunshine in the middle of the
afternoon. Fairly strong winds out of the west.
Raptor Observations:
A trickle of migrants again today.
Non-raptor Observations:
Lots of non-raptors moving. 7200 American Robins were counted moving south
in the morning, and a massive flock was seen near sunset also heading
south. This flock contained at least 5000 robins.
Another banner day for Pine Siskins with 680 counted moving south. That
brings us to a two day total of 1400 Pine Siskins! As might be expected,
there is a rather large flock (70+) that has taken to the feeders.
It seemed like there were lots more Dark-eyed Juncos around today than in
previous days.
Other highlights included one Yellow-billed Cuckoo and one Vesper Sparrow.
Predictions:
Partly sunny with west winds again tomorrow.
