Weather:
Mostly overcast today with plenty of dark, grey clouds. Partial clearing
(60% clouds) 12-1pm but 85-100% cloud coverage before and after that.
Strong (29-38km/hr) NW winds in the morning switching to moderate
(20-28km/hr) W winds in afternoon. 7.8-14C temps. Some light
sprinkles/freezing rain/snow around 10:10am.
Raptor Observations:
Our third Golden Eagle (immature) passed through at 10:42am. A great Bald
Eagle showing for so late in the season with 7 total: 4 immatures (12:15pm,
1:11pm, 2:46pm, 3:18pm) and 3 adults (1:15pm and two at 3:18pm). The
Red-tails started flying by in afternoon with 28 of the 35 between 12-3pm.
First bird of day: 8:04am RT. Last 3 birds of the day was a trio of Bald
Eagles at 3:18pm.
Non-raptor Observations:
11 Ravens, 5 RC Kinglets, 10 Grackles, 20 Waxwings, 57 Robins, 360 RW
Blackbirds, 15 Bluebirds.
