Observation start time: 06:30:00
Observation end   time: 17:00:00
Total observation time: 10.5 hours

Official Counter:        Steve Kolbe

Observers:        Brian Taber, Ned Brinkley

Weather:
Cool temperatures, light north winds shifting to the northeast, and mostly
cloudy skies today.

Raptor Observations:
A very enjoyable day of movement. Nice numbers of Red-shouldered and
Red-tailed Hawks. Two Golden Eagles today! Both were subadult birds, with
the first appearing "split-tailed," and the second looking basically like a
juvenile but sporting a prominent mottled upperwing bar.

Non-raptor Observations:
Bird of the day today was EVENING GROSBEAK. A conservative count of 22
grosbeaks flew past today including a group of 10.

The feeders are really buzzing right now with loads of Pine Siskins,
Red-breasted Nuthatches, American Goldfinches, a few Purple Finches, etc.
Quite ensorcelling.

Predictions:
Tomorrow sounds pretty good. Northeast winds with some sun. Hawks, finches,
who knows what else?
