Visitors:
If you have enjoyed watching the feeders this fall, would you consider
donating some bird seed? The Pine Siskins and Red-breasted Nuthatches would
sure appreciate it, as would the White-winged Crossbill or Evening Grosbeak
that might show up any day! Thanks to Ned Brinkley for donating bird feed
today.
Weather:
Heavy clouds and a few sprinkles early with rapid clearing in the late
afternoon. Fairly strong winds out of the northwest. Cool temperatures.
Raptor Observations:
Slow in the morning, but the sunny skies got birds up in the afternoon.
Most were either heading north or just hanging around.
Highlights today included a northbound juvenile Golden Eagle and an
immature Northern Goshawk.
Non-raptor Observations:
One RED CROSSBILL, one EVENING GROSBEAK.
Predictions:
Sunny with northwest winds.
