Observation end time: 16:30:00
Total observation time: 9.5 hours
Official Counter: Kyle Wright
Observers:
Weather:
Clear, with light winds, variable in the morning and becoming mostly
southeast in the afternoon.
Raptor Observations:
A spread out flight, and if I had a second counter, I have no doubt there
would have been at least one and a half if not two times as many birds.
Only one Broad-winged was close enough to age, that bird interestingly
being an adult. Shortly after that bird's passage, a kettle of 17
Broad-wingeds was seen well to the east.
Non-raptor Observations:
Eastern Bluebird-3, Eastern Meadowlark-8, Common Loon-1, American Robin
~805, Cedar Waxwing ~130, Northern Flicker-109, Mixed Icterids ~4500,
Common Nighthawk-2. Also Yellow-rumped, Black-throated Green,
Black-throated Blue, Palm, and Cape May Warblers, plus Yellow-breasted Chat
and Northern Parula.
Predictions:
Rain, may be no count conducted.
