Weather:
Another day with SSW winds and warm temperatures. But during the early
afternoon the winds switched to SSE. There was a very thick haze for most
of the day.
Raptor Observations:
Today started like I would have expect with a very low flight with only a
few raptors moving south. But starting at the 10-11 hour the flood gate
opened with good numbers of Northern Harriers, Sharp-shinned Hawk, and
American Kestrels moving South. The peak hour was 1-2 with 165 raptors
observed. A new high count of Northern Harriers (36) and Sharp-shinned
Hawks (223) today.
