Raptor Observations:
Our trapper informed me this morning that before my arrival he caught a
Sharpie that he had previously caught and banded eight days ago. Any level
headed human being would be silly to draw any conclusions about anything
based on a sample size of one. As anyone who regularly frequents the
platform or reads these reports is well aware, however, I am no level
headed human being. The bird could be planning to winter in the area, but
this evidnece also supports the possibility of a notion that birds have not
been moving off the peninsula for eight days. Sigh...
Non-raptor Observations:
Snow Geese... there were Snow Geese... maybe a hundred and fifty or so, but
all in all, a pretty slow day...
