Visitors:
Interesting day. Two gentleman on horseback stopped and talked with me for
an hour and a half about hawks and hanggliders and life in general. They
offered to share their spam sandwich and pork and bean lunch with me. A
young man hiked up to the tower with his guitar. He asked if I would take
his picture while he sat at the edge of the cliff strumming his guitar.
Weather:
Light winds today from N and NW. Overcast off and on all day.
Raptor Observations:
1 Golden Eagle and 1 Sharp-shinned Hawk in the last 2 plus hours.
Non-raptor Observations:
12 Monarchs and 2 Red-headed Woodpeckers and nothing else.
Predictions:
It looks as if Broadwing migration might be ending for this year.
