Weather:
Light NE breezes, sometimes calming to nothing. Temp. 20-26*C. The morning
was pretty cloudless, but then some clouds moved in, becoming about 25%
cloudy in afternoon.
Raptor Observations:
Today was an Osprey day with 12 total. 8 of the Osprey were in the final 3
hours, and the final two raptors of the day were Osprey very late around
6:20pm. Another Bald Eagle (adult at 5:35pm).
Non-raptor Observations:
21 Monarchs, 1 Pileated Woodpecker, 13 Hummingbirds, 80 Cedar Waxwing, 9
Raven, and 211 Chimney Swifts. We stayed late again today and observed a
total of 275 Common Nighthawks passing by in the final hour, all moving
from East to West (the opposite direction of last night's flight). They all
faded away over toward Waynesboro.
