Hello Everyone!
I visited the Wilna tract of Rap River Valley NWR today from sunrise until 3:30
P.M.
I went thinking I could find a few Warblers but almost got shut out. I saw one
Warbler working it's way along several limbs but it was camera shy. It
disappeared within 3 second of me locating it. I remained in this area for
almost 2 hours with no re-sighting of the bird or any other Warbler.
Beautiful day that started off with birds making their presence known but
ending on a very slow, not to be found, note. I saw the following:
Turkey Vulture
Black Vulture
Adult Bald Eagle (fly over)
Osprey
Red-Tailed Hawk
Sharp-Shinned Hawk
Great Blue Heron
Female Bobolink
Dickcissel
Grasshopper Sparrow
Eastern Bluebird
American Crow
Female Blue Grosbeak
Flycatcher
Eastern Phoebe
Northern Mockingbird
Female Northern Cardinal
Starling
Mourning Dove
Unidentified Warbler
Non birds
White-Tailed Deer
Links to photos will be sent at a later date. Hopefully, I will have images of
Female Bobolink, Dickcissel, Flycatcher and a couple others but I have not
edited them yet.
Best birding!
