Official Counter: Joan Boudreau and Bob Abrams
Observers: Bev Leeuwenburg, The Littles
Weather:
Overcast and damp. A tiny sprinkle every so often and a light west wind all
day.
Raptor Observations:
We are living right. I am convinced. I was not convinced until another
young Northern Goshawk showed itself on the eastern slope around 2:30 and
gave us a short but wonderful show. Is my heart suppose to be beating that
fast just because I am looking at a bird?
Another treat was seeing the Merlin that Jon Little found directly
overhead have a sparring match with an adult Sharp-shinned Hawk. It was
like watching Hulk Hogan slap Barney Fife around. No contest.
Non-raptor Observations:
Two Common Loons.
