I spent a couple hours at the lake this morning.....went to get sunrise
and was disappointed, but then the birds picked up and had a great morning.
Down at the lake, I had a good variety of birds and they were quite
vocal, but not really cooperative with getting their picture taken. I
had a surprise visit of a baby beaver in the canal that swam around a
bit and posed for a couple pictures. I saw several Flickers moving
about, first ones I have seen down there this fall.
Came back out toward the ponds and had a great variety of birds in the
oak and dogwood trees and had several flickers land within five feet of
me and let me get a couple before they took off again.
A good morning out with the birds.
