Sorry for the late post, but the storms left us without power for a bit
last night. Before the storms hit, I stopped by Harrison Lake fish
ponds on the way home Friday afternoon. The ponds with water all had
Canada's, some with babies, some without. The babies are growing up fast.
The middle pond that is being drained yielded a good collection of
shorebirds including greater and lesser yellowlegs, spotted sandpiper,
killdeer, and another smaller one I am not sure of. I had swallows
flying all around, an osprey go over, bluebirds near the road, and a
large collection of butterflies near the center pond on an area of
flowering plants.
The clouds rolled in and started getting dark, so I didn't get all the
way around or get down to the lake. Still, I thought a nice variety today.

Happy Cinco de Mayo all.
