Couldn't go birding this morning, but was rewarded with a first for our yard.
As I let our pooch out for his morning duty, and heard what I thought was a
Scarlet Tanager singing a few notes. Managed to locate him in tree overhanging
our house, and called my wife. He then flew to the maple tree in our front yard
for a clear unubstructed view from about 25' away. Lovely morning.
